This verbal de-escalation workshop is designed to provide participants with information and resources needed to efficiently and effectively respond and manage the behavior of an escalated student. The strategies discussed in this presentation, can be implemented virtually as well as in person.

Sean Andrew, El Dorado Charter SELPA
Sean T Andrew, M.Ed., is a Program Specialist for El Dorado Charter SELPA. He provides support to over 20 charter schools in the greater Los Angeles area. Sean has over eighteen years’ experience working in the field of Special Education. Sean has a passion for inclusion of students with disabilities with their general education peers, and a desire to help all students maximize their potential. His expertise is in working with students with challenging behaviors, parent support, and developing inclusive learning environments.
Erin Zimmermann, El Dorado Charter SELPA
Erin Zimmermann, M. Ed., is a Program Specialist with El Dorado County Office of Education Charter SELPA. Erin supports partner LEA’s primarily in the inland Empire Region of Southern California. Erin has over 12 years of experience in special education, with positions as an instructional aid, Education Specialist, Special Education Coordinator, and Program Specialist. Erin is passionate about educational reform, deconstructing systems of oppressions in education, and supporting students with behavior needs. Erin is dedicated to creating inclusive practices that benefit all students.
